COMPREHENSIVE RECREATIONAL TRAILS PLAN UPDATE
The Fairbanks North Star Borough is developing a new Recreational Trails Plan that will be the primary decision-making tool guiding FNSB and its partners to prioritize the allocation of available resources to local trails.
WE NEED YOU
Complete the 10 minute survey to help us better understand who is using trails, how and why you use them, and what limitations and opportunities you prioritize!
For a successful update to the Recreational Trails Plan, we need your knowledge and input! The Trails Advisory Commission (TAC) is the Plan's steering committee and we encourage you to participate at upcoming Commission meetings, connect with the project team, and engage through the Interactive Comment Mapping portal - currently under construction.
DATA COLLECTION & TRAIL INVENTORY
Help us identify existing trails, their uses and conditions, and issues with the Borough Trails system. This can include issues or information on access, maintenance, trail dedication, user conflicts and more.
The Trail Info Form below is intended to help guide your input on the existing FNSB Trail system.
Use the Interactive Comment Map to geographically submit trail information, provide comment, upload your own data and files for references, and more!
If you would like to upload your mapping data please do the following:
Upload your trail data file using the “Overlay Data to reference” tool – the second icon from the left on the menu in the upper right.
The data uploaded is only a temporary layer viewable during your session, it will not be directly integrated into the map.
Trace your data using the “Add Comments and Draw Trails” tool using the ‘Add Trail’, ‘Change Existing Trail’, or ‘Other’ action tools.
This will be submitted to the public comment map.
Before you submit your comment, add your data as an Attachment (optional).
If you are submitting spatial data (shp, kml, gpx, etc.) compression is required. Max file upload size is 10 MB. Attachments are not confidential and could be downloaded from the comment features by the public.
