Draft Trail Plan Overview
The Draft Comprehensive Recreational Trails Plan is organized into the following Chapters:
Plan Development Process
Trails for Tomorrow
Trail Recommendations (Maps are separate files due to size)
Before you review the maps,
here's an important disclaimer
The Fairbanks North Star Borough (FNSB) provides maps to support the update of the Comprehensive Recreational Trails Plan for planning and informational purposes only, and in doing so the FNSB does not encourage use of trails, or sections of trails, that have not been formally dedicated for public use in a recorded legal document. Trails depicted in the documents and maps developed through this planning process are tentatively proposed for eventual protection and management for recreational use. Public access across the trails is not guaranteed. The maps and data provided are not intended for use as navigational tools. The maps and data may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. The maps and data are made available on the condition that users agree that the FNSB will not be held liable for any loss, injury, or damage of any kind, whether direct or indirect, resulting from any errors or omissions in the maps or data.
Draft Trail Recommendation Maps
Draft Maps illustrate the issues we're trying to address and objectives we're working to achieve. The Maps and this Trails Plan preserve future opportunity; trails may not be developed, but they have to be in the Plan to be considered for protection, development and maintenance.
